Discrimination
People all over the country right now are going through a crisis of injustice in New York, Minnesota, Georgia, Baltimore. That is all because the country and law enforcement do not treat people of other races the same as white people. According to Sally Kohn, reporter for CNN, she states that 60.1 percent of the population is white, and 36.9 percent is African American and Hispanic. However 69 percent of crimes committed in America are by whites and only 42 percent are arrested for their actions. The other races commit 31 percent, and 25 percent are arrested. Some law enforcement, such as officers and agencies, disagree with her evidence. This is an unfair conviction rate; there is a large margin where other races are arrested more than white people. This means that other races are thought of being more dangerous and harmful to the community. But James Alan Fox, a criminology professor at the Northeastern University in Boston, is another reliable source. He is an author of many best selling criminal books, and states homicide is the most committed crime in America. African Americans and Hispanics commit and are arrested at a higher rate than white people are. A recent study shows that 4,486 white people where reported for homicide, but only 41.7 percent were arrested. That means 4.7 people for every 100 thousand. African American people (4,863) were reported for homicide and 45.2 percent were arrested. That is at a rate of 33 people for every 100 thousand that is an enormous difference in percentages. That is why law enforcement including judges are unjust in putting more colored races in jail. Most people say that the rate is higher for African Americans because they are raised to act violent and that they have more connections to such violence than other races do. But, because America is so busy worrying about other things they forget to look at their own country. Friendly fire is the most common way that people are killed in America. The gun control laws and the rights of civilians and law enforcement have gotten way out of hand. Today even the youngest of people of any race can be influenced in the wrong way so anyone can commit a crime. In conclusion, I believe that the country should have consequences and regulations for what the law enforcement can conduct on any person they have to deal with. We need to stop the brutality and abuse that law enforcement have on people. Everyone should be treated the same no one should be judged by their skin color or how they look. All of us deserve the same opportunity and all be upheld to same consequences. If you have an opinion on what i have talked about with law enforcement injustice leave your comments links or bio thank you.
